Abstract

The construction of the UPN "Veteran" East Java Joint Lecture and Laboratory Building is an example of this grid beam structure planning. A lattice beam system was installed to replace the original beam system in this building. The x and y directions of the lattice beam plan design are assumed to have the same beam size and stiffness requirements. The dimensions of a 20/40 lattice beam with fc' = 30 MPa are considered for a 2 m by 2 m panel on a slab with a span of 8 m by 6 m. For slabs with a span of 5 x 6 meters, panels measuring 2.5 m x 2 m are proposed with lattice beam dimensions of 25/40 in the longitudinal direction and 20/40 in the transverse direction, with fc' = 30 MPa. Next, using a combination of dead load, live load and earthquake load, a static calculation of the portal structure is carried out according to the relevant SNI. Using the StaadPro application, the building structure is analyzed. The results show a total output deviation of 59.693 mm with a drift ratio to the main direction of 0.0014 < 0.0025. The superstructure of the building then complies with safety measures. The main beam is designed with a size of 400/700 mm. both 300/550 mm and 250/450 mm. The column is planned to measure 700 x 700 mm with a shear wall thickness of 200 mm.
