Abstract

Human resources are assets needed to help an organization achieve its goals. However, the human resources situation in the last ten years has experienced changes. This is because many employees fall into the working age category, especially the younger generation (Generasi Z), who choose not to take long-term jobs. This young generation, especially Generasi Z, is often associated with the behavior of changing jobs in a fairly short time (job hopping). Allegedly, one of the factors that influences employees' decisions to change jobs is job satisfaction. This research aims to find out whether there is a relationship between job satisfaction and job hopping behavior in Generasi Z employees. This correlational research, took data on ±424 employees with an age range of 15-24 years, using a job hopping motive scale and a job satisfaction scale. The data obtained was then analyzed using the Spearman's rho correlation test with the result that job satisfaction had a negative relationship with job hopping ((R=-0.387); p 0.01<0.05), which shows that the correlation between the two variables is inversely proportional or it can be said that the higher the job satisfaction, the lower the job hopping motive in Generasi Z employees.
