Abstract

This research compares the performance of GraphQL and REST architectures in the context of scalability as applications grow. Test results show that GraphQL architectures tend to have higher response times than REST, but have greater flexibility in complex request management. Meanwhile, REST offers stable performance with a structured approach, although it may be less efficient for specific requests. This research highlights the importance of considering the
complexity of the request and the type of data handled in architecture selection. In conclusion, both architectures can be adapted for scalability, but the choice depends on the unique needs of
the application and its business objectives.
