PERAN KELOMPOK SWADAYA MASYARAKAT (KSM) DALAM PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH MELALUI REUSE, REDUCE, RECYCLE (3R) DI TPST-3R MULYOAGUNG BERSATU (Studi di Desa Mulyoagung, Kecamatan Dau, Kabupaten Malang)

This research aims to understand the role played by Community Self-Help Groups (KSM) in the waste management process at the Mulyoagung Bersatu Integrated Waste Management Site (TPST-3R), located in Mulyoagung Village, Dau District, Malang Regency. The role in question refers to how social movements can be implemented and how the community can participate in them, supported by the Mulyoagung Village Government and the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR).
The research method used is a qualitative approach to gain an understanding of the subjects by providing a comprehensive and in-depth description based on real events occurring in the studied area. Data collection methods include interviews, observations, and documentation. This study is conducted to determine the role of Community Self-Help Groups (KSM) during the waste management process at the Mulyoagung Bersatu TPST-3R.
The research findings indicate that the community of Mulyoagung Village, within the Community Self-Help Groups (KSM), is capable of playing a maximal role in the waste management process. The community is able to carry out tasks according to their respective fields, and the results of the waste management can meet the established targets.
