Abstract
Background: Chronic Kidney Disease is a disease that has several diverse etiologies characterized by a continuous decline in kidney function and eventually leads to kidney failure. The most significant cause of hyperphosphatemia is CKD. Metabolic bone disease, cardiovascular disease, and secondary hyperparathyroidism are some of the conditions caused by hyperphosphatemia.
Objective: This study aims to determine the pattern of calcium carbonate use in CKD patients at the Inpatient Installation of dr. Iskak Tulungagung Hospital.
Method: The study was conducted retrospectively by analyzing patient medical record data for the period July-December 2023 with a total sample of 72 patients include the inclusion criteria.
Results and Conclusions: The results of this study showed that the single use of calcium carbonate had several dose regimens, there is (3x500 mg)po of 58% patients, (2x500mg)po of 28% patients, (1x500mg)po of 14% patients. For the replacement the dose of therapy, there are 11 patterns that are adjusted to the patient's condition.
