Abstract
The Muhammadiyah Temanggung Community Welfare Development Hospital is a charity owned by the Muhammadiyah Temanggung Regional Leadership in the health sector and is included in the type C hospital. This hospital has a new building with 5 floors with a building area of ± 2,808 m2, an existing building area of ± 5,227 m2 and a land area of ± 34,749 m2. In order to meet the needs of residents and support hospital performance, a building needs to have a clean water system plan, dirty water or commonly called a plumbing system. With proper plumbing system planning, clean and dirty water can be distributed well to all rooms in the hospital and be more economical and effective for operation and maintenance costs. In planning the plumbing system in the PKU Muhammadiyah Temanggung Hospital building, data on the clean water discharge required, water storage capacity, clean water and waste water system design, and hydrant system planning are required in the building. The planning results are, the clean water requirement in this hospital is 11.175 m3/hour or 3.1 liters/second. The capacity of Ground Water Tank is 48 m3. The capacity of the lower water tank for fire extinguishing is 576 m3. The capacity of Roof Tank is 32 m3 and the capacity of the temporary waste water tank is 36 m3. The dirty water and used water waste disposal system planned in this hospital is a separate system, namely dirty water and used water are flowed through different pipes using PVC pipes. The hydrant or fire extinguishing system in this hospital uses 5 indoor hydrant boxes / fire hose reels and 20 Portable Fire Extinguishers on floors 1-3 which are placed inside the building, as well as 4 outdoor hydrants on the 1st floor which are located outside the building.
