Abstract
Consumptive behavior is an individual's action in making excessive purchases. Where individuals who have consumptive behavior only care about their satisfaction, without thinking about the long term when making purchases. One factor that can influence the emergence of consumer behavior is conformity. Individuals who have conformity are individuals who easily follow their group regarding behavior, norms and ideas in their group. This research aims to determine the relationship between consumer behavior and conformity in the motorbike community in Malang City. Participants in this research were 285 members of the motorbike community in Malang City with an age range of 18-40 years. Sampling was carried out using accidental sampling technique. The instruments used in this research were based on the conformity of Sears and Peplau and the consumptive behavior of Lina and Rosyid. The results of the person correlation analysis test show that there is a significant positive relationship between conformity and consumer behavior among members of the motorbike community. The implication of this research is that it is hoped that community members will be better off not conforming to things that are negative in nature, especially in buying automotive spare parts which makes individuals wasteful.
