Abstract
China is known as the country with the largest population in the world, with this large population the Chinese state must do more to provide for the needs of its citizens. One of the ways in which China meets its domestic needs is by establishing export-import cooperation with other countries. China imports seafood products from Japan to meet its domestic consumption. China-Japan export-import relations were quite harmonious until the beginning of 2023, but in August 2023 China decided to stop importing seafood products from Japan. The cessation of Chinese imports was triggered by Japan's policy regarding the disposal of waste from the Fuskushima Nuclear Power Plant into the Pacific Ocean. The conceptual basis used in this research is the concept of National Security and Human Security. The results of this research explain that China's decision to stop importing seafood products from Japan was due to concerns about contamination by radioactive substances originating from Japan's disposal of waste from the Fuskushima Nuclear Power Plant into the Pacific Sea, starting in 2023.
