Abstract

This research aims to analyze road damage using the Pavement Condition Index
and community development methods and their handling on Ir. Sutami Probolinggo
City with a road length of 2400 meters and a width of 7 meters. The road taken as
the research object is STA 0+100 – STA 2+400. The Pavement Condition Index
has a value of 0-100 (a value of 0 indicates very damaged road conditions and a
value of 100 shows perfect road conditions). The results of the research showed
damage to the crocodile skin, cracks, grooves, weathering and release of grains,
edge cracks, sags and holes. The results of research using the PCI method obtained
a value of 32.3, which means poor/ugly with alternative treatments, namely overlay
and reconstruction. Meanwhile, the community development method produces a
priority order of 3 which is included in the Priority Order group 0-3 where the roads
are included in the road improvement program. The results of the pavement
thickness design on the Ir. Sutami Probolinggo City with overlay treatment of 4 cm
for AC-WC, and for reconstruction treatment of 4 cm AC-WC 6 cm for AC-BC.
