Abstract

In the literature review section, previous research regarding project scheduling using PERT (Program Evaluation and Review Technique) is discussed, with a focus on the effectiveness of PERT in project completion. The theoretical foundations of operations management and project management are highlighted, emphasizing the importance of efficient resource management and project life cycle phases. Various types of projects are categorized, including engineering-construction, engineering-manufacturing, research and development, services, capital projects, radio-telecommunications projects, and biodiversity conservation projects. Project scheduling aspects include long-term, medium-term and short-term scheduling, as well as project scheduling using the PERT method and production scheduling. The conclusion summarizes the findings regarding the completion time of the Muhammadiyah Surabaya University development project which is estimated using PERT, with a completion probability of 99.99% within 88 weeks.
