Abstract

Rejotangan Subdistrict, as part of Tulungagung Regency, East Java, faces significant challenges in providing adequate clean water due to rapid population growth, inadequate infrastructure, and suboptimal planning. This study aims to evaluate and plan the development of the clean water distribution network in Rejotangan Subdistrict, focusing on 2023 and 2033 water demand projections. Data from BPS Tulungagung, DEMNAS topographic maps, and PERUMDA Tirta Cahaya Agung were analyzed using Epanet. In 2023, average daily water demand was 10.03 l/s, with maximum and peak demands at 11.54 l/s and 15.05 l/s respectively. Projections for 2033 indicate increases to 19.41 l/s, 22.32 l/s, and 29.12 l/s. The study suggests adding 78 nodes and 79 HDPE PN 8 pipe networks to improve capacity and reliability, along with PRVs to manage high reservoir pressure and modifications to existing pipes to increase diameter. Conclusions highlight the necessity of developing the clean water distribution infrastructure to meet future demands, improve quality of life, and ensure sustainable water supply in Tulungagung.
