Abstract
Context: This research is a website-based herbal medicine store application development. The use of applications for the sale of herbal medicine is still rarely used, especially using websites for promotional and sales media for herbal MSMEs in Sidodadi Village, Lawang, therefore researchers will build applications that can be used for promotion media, sales, or e-commerce. The method used is a prototype because the MSMEs do not have knowledge related to functional needs, or non-functional. The contribution to research is very large because it will help MSMEs in making online sales along with the reports needed for sales recaps.
Objective: Linear research aims to produce an application design that provides solutions to MSME groups in managing sales transactions in a more efficient way. With the creation of an e-commerce website can be used as a means of online business and is able to increase sales of herbal MSMEs, and as well as introduce a website-based sales information system as a means of effective sales information.
Method: The method used in making this application is the Software Development Life (SDLC) software development method Prototype model. This method has several stages, namely requirement collection, design, design evaluation, implementation, system testing and system evaluation. It is called Prototype because system development techniques that use prototypes to describe the system so that the client or system owner has a clear picture of the system that will be built by the development team. System testing uses Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Test (UAT) testing.
Results: The results of research contained in the design of a website-based herbal store application using this prototype method are able to provide a container for selling herbal medicine that can be accessed anywhere and anytime and make it easier for MSMEs selling herbal medicine to market their products online and easily.
