PROSES PENDAMPINGAN PEKERJA SOSIAL KEPADA ANAK BERHADAPAN DENGAN HUKUM DI KOTA BATU (STUDI PADA DINAS SOSIAL KOTA BATU)

In this day and age, there are many legal cases involving children in Indonesia. Cases that involve children, whether as suspects, victims, or witnesses, can be found in various regions, one of which is Batu City. Social Workers are tasked with providing assistance to children who are in conflict with the law so that they can help them face and resolve the cases that they are facing. This research is titled "The Process of Social Worker Assistance for Children in Conflict with the Law in Batu City (A Study at the Social Services Department of Batu City)." The study was conducted to understand how the assistance process is carried out by social workers for children in conflict with the law in Batu City who are being assisted. Furthermore, this research aims to determine how social workers counsel children in conflict with the law to actively participate in this assistance process. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The results indicate that the assistance process provided to children by social workers in Batu City is conducted in accordance with existing policies in Indonesia while also adapting to the conditions and needs of the children in conflict with the law who are being assisted. Social workers assist children in conflict with the law by making them trust the social workers along with assisting them to collaboratively resolve the cases they face, making the children more cooperative and willing to be directed and guided by social workers, thereby preventing them from repeating the same mistakes.
