TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP TENTANG DAGUSIBU OBAT GENERIK UNTUK SWAMEDIKASI PADA MAHASISWA S1 FAKULTAS ILMU KESEHATAN UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH MALANG

Background: Regulation on the obligation to use generic drugs in health care facilities with regulation Number HK.02.02/MENKES/068/I/2010. The high price ofdrugsandthelimitedcostofgoingtothedoctorleadtothedesiretotreatminor illnessesontheirownorself-medication.Toachievethegovernment'sprogram,it is necessary to have a good level of knowledge and a positive attitude regarding generic drugs because most of the Indonesian population is mostly doing self- medication for minor illnesses, so that the treatment can get the maximum therapeutic effect of the drug.
ResearchObjective:Todeterminetherelationshipbetweenthelevelofknowledge and attitudes of undergraduate students at the Faculty of Health Sciences, UniversityofMuhammadiyahMalangregardingthegenericdrugDAGUSIBUfor self-medication.
Methods:Thisstudyusesdescriptivequantitativewitha cross-sectional approach design. Sampling using non probability sampling technique with accidental sampling method.
Results and Conclusion: The research conducted at Campus II, University of Muhammadiyah Malang, involving 106 respondents showed that there was no relationship between the level of knowledge and attitude about the use of generic drugs for self-medication among undergraduate students of the Faculty of Health sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. With a significance value of p=0.807 ≥ 0.05.
