Abstract

The problem faced at SDN 1 Tugu is that the teaching materials used by teachers in mathematics lessons on flat shapes are only summaries presented in the form of photocopied sheets, which reduces students' interest in learning and attention to the teacher. As a result, more engaging teaching materials are required to support the learning process, particularly those based on flat shapes. The purpose of this study is to determine the development of an engaging lapbook for fourth-grade mathematics learning at SDN 1 Tugu.
This research uses the ADDIE research and development model. (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects are the fourth-grade students of SDN 1 Tugu, consisting of 20 students. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. This study's instruments included interview guidelines, observation guidelines, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques include both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
The results of the lapbook teaching material development show that the material validation received a percentage of 93.75%, while the product validation reached 92.85%. Both results are very feasible for trial without revision. The lapbookteaching materials received an 83.63% response from students, while 100% of teachers responded. This suggests that the creation of lapbook teaching materials can capture students' attention and make it easier for them to comprehend the material, particularly flat shapes. Additionally, the lapbookteaching materials are simple to use. This study can be used to inform future research, particularly on flat shapes or other materials.
