Abstract

The official UMM website (umm.ac.id) is the primary channel for providing
up-to-date information, academic activities, and services for students, faculty, and
related parties. This website is crucial in supporting student academic activities, as
nearly all administrative and academic affairs are managed through it. The
umm.ac.id site faces critical challenges based on direct user observations and
feedback from the infocomm team as developers. Most feedback indicates the need
to improve the User Interface (UI) design to make it more user-friendly. The
application of the user-centered design method, which emphasizes creativity and a
deep understanding of users and their problems, is indeed suitable for developing
the UI/UX of an application. Testing using the webuse method in the initial
assessment before the redesign yielded an average score of 0.51 with a moderate
level, while after the redesign, the score significantly increased to 0.60 with a good
level. This reflects a significant improvement in user satisfaction and ease of use of
the umm.ac.id website
