Abstract

Technological advancements have significantly impacted various aspects of human
work, including information management in public service sectors such as the
Surabaya City Transportation Department. The Surabaya Intelligent Transport
System (SITS) division faces significant challenges due to the use of separate
websites and manual recording methods, which hinder data integration and
operational efficiency. The prototyping method is employed to address these issues
by allowing the creation of initial system models to gather feedback and make
improvements before full implementation. This study recommends the
implementation of an integrated information system to enhance reporting processes,
inventory management, and data-driven decision-making. The newly designed
system utilizes prototyping to collect requirements, build prototypes, and conduct
system testing and evaluation. The findings indicate that the developed integrated
information system can improve operational efficiency and information quality
within the SITS division.
