STRATEGI PEMERINTAH DKI JAKARTA DALAM AJANG BALAP MOBIL FORMULA E MELALUI DIPLOMASI PUBLIK

This research is to explain how the DKI Jakarta Government’s Strategy in Formula E car racing event through Public Diplomacy. At this research uses Public Diplomacy Concept with three roles as communicator, facilitator, and sponsor to operate their public diplomacy. From that, this research uses descriptive research method, with qualitative descriptive analysis technique. The data from this research were collected by using literature review. The Government of DKI Jakarta effort for implementing their public diplomacy after appointed as Formula E Grand Prix host has gone better, because of Indonesia has often held international sports event since Old Order. By holding the Formula E Grand Prix at Jakarta, DKI Jakarta's Government can spread message to public that Jakarta, which labelled as pollutive city has set to move for reducing air pollution. With this, the public perception of Jakarta City that always congested and full of air pollution can be reduced because of the government want to change for sustainable development. Not only that, Formula E also can be an opportunity for the government to promote the Jakarta's tourism, food, and culture that many people don't know that think has existed.
