Abstract
Background : Drug storage based on pharmaceutical care standards in community health c;inic is an activity of regulating pharmaceutical preparations upon receipt to ensure safety, prevention of physical and chemical damage, and maintenance of quality. This study aims to determine the condition of drug storage at Kendalsari Community Health Clinic in Malang City and to ensure that drugs are stored safely and effectively. This research will also support the primary goal of pharmaceutical care, which is to provide quality care to patients.
Objective : This research seeks to evaluate the drug storage conditions at Kendalsari Health Clinic, with a specific focus on the effects of a leaky roof on the storage area's temperature and humidity. The overarching goal is to ensure that drugs are stored correctly to support pharmaceutical services.
Methods : This research utilized a descriptive cross-sectional design to examine the profile of drug storage at Kendalsari Community Health Clinic in Malang City. Data was collected through direct interviews with relevant personnel and observational checks using a validated checklist. The study focused on the pharmacy installation and warehouse, aiming to assess the current state of drug storage practices and identify areas for improvement. By collecting data at a single point in time, this study provided a snapshot of the situation at the time of the research.
Results and Conclusion : An assessment of the drug storage profile at Kendalsari Community Health Clinic in Malang City revealed that all aspects evaluated, including drug warehouse requirements, drug storage systems, and drug inventory card recording systems, were in full compliance with the relevant regulations. Furthermore, the drug storage procedures at the health clinic were found to be in accordance with the Pharmaceutical Services Standards for Community Health Clinic. The overall performance was rated as very good, with a 100% compliance rate for warehouse requirements and drug storage systems, and an 80% compliance rate for drug inventory card recording systems.
