Abstract
Background : During the initial observation conducted at Kendalsari Health Clinic, it was found that there were issues with drug planning. These problems were caused by the excessively short timeframe for submitting the planning proposals. As a consequence, there were instances of drug overstocking, shortages, and damage. This situation has had a negative impact on the quality of healthcare services provided by the health clinic.
Objective : The primary objective of this research is to evaluate the drug planning system at Kendalsari Community Health Clinic in 2023 to determine the effectiveness of drug planning at Kendalsari Community Health Clinic, Malang.
Method : The research method employed in this study is observational. This study utilizes previously collected data. The data includes a list of drugs available at Kendalsari Community Health Clinic and the Drug Requirement Plan (RKO) documents from the health clinic in 2023.
Results and Conclusions : The results of the study showed that the Kendalsari Health Center had 99 of the 128 types of drugs listed in the National Formulary (FORNAS), reaching a percentage of 77.34%. Indicating a poor level of compliance with the use of essential drugs because it is less than the ideal value of 100%. And the evaluation of drug planning showed good compliance between drug planning and use with a percentage of deviation of only 8%. Based on the study, it can be concluded that the evaluation of drug planning at the Kendalsari Health Center in 2023 showed that the compliance of drug items with the National Formulary reached 77.34% of the ideal value of 100%, indicating ineffectiveness in overall drug planning. The indicator of deviation in drug needs planning is 8% with a deviation limit of 20-30%, so that drug management in this case is considered effective because it meets the standard deviation requirements.
