Abstract

In Islamic society, education and seeking knowledge are considered the obligations of every Muslim. However, in pursuing knowledge, students often forget things that are obligatory and often experience obstacles and obstacles that must be faced. Some things that often appear to a student are dismissed: Lack of motivation, lack of understanding, lack of discipline, social challenges to the environment, and so on. Therefore, Islamic religious education has an important role in shaping the character and morals of individual Muslims. That there are some major sources in this field are the classic books written by prominent scholars. One of the books that is highly respected and often studied is "Ta'lim Muta'alim" which was written by a great scholar from the 13th century, namely Sheikh Imam Az-Zarnuji. This book has been an important guideline for Islamic religious educators for centuries. The book of Ta'lim Muta'alim is one of the phenomenal works in the history of Islamic education. This book contains advice and guidance for students, students, students, or students in pursuing knowledge. Sheikh Imam Az-Zarnuji emphasized the importance of ethics, discipline, and sincerity in pursuing knowledge. Some of the subjects in this book include the nature of knowledge, the intention to learn, choosing teachers, respecting teachers, time division, and effective learning methods.
