Abstract

In recent years, the use of solar energy as a renewable energy source has
significantly increased due to global awareness of the need to reduce
dependence on fossil fuels and decrease carbon emissions. To ensure that
photovoltaic (PV) systems operate with maximum efficiency and effectiveness,
meticulous monitoring and performance analysis are required. Solar logs are
essential tools used to record various operational data from PV systems,
including daily energy production, weather conditions, and overall system
performance. This article examines the essential role of solar logs in the
management and operation of PV systems, reviewing the different types of solar
logs available and the data collection methods used. Furthermore, this article
explores advanced technologies applied in the analysis and interpretation of
solar log data. Information obtained from solar logs can be used to improve
energy efficiency, identify operational issues, and predict maintenance needs.
Case studies from several PV installations in various locations are included to
demonstrate the practical application of solar logs in optimizing PV systems.
The findings of this research indicate that the use of solar logs not only aids in
performance monitoring but also contributes to operational cost reduction,
sustainability enhancement, and the development of better energy management
strategies.
