Abstract

Job satisfaction is a condition where the employee feels satisfied with their job. This is
important for a company to understand the issue of employee job satisfaction. To achieve job
satisfaction, employees need to pay attention to several factors, one of which is self-efficacy. The aim of
this research is to identify the relationship between self-efficacy and job satisfaction in employees. The
sampling method used is non-probability sampling with convenience sampling technique. With the
criteria that the subject works as an employee with an age range of 18-50 years. The total sample in
this study consisted of 272 respondents. Data collection was carried out using the GSES (General Self
Efficacy Scale) and JSS (Job Satisfaction Scale) scales. Analysis of research results used Spearman
rank correlation analysis. The results of the analysis show a Sig value: 0.007 (<0.05) with a correlation
coefficient (R) value of (0.162), this shows that there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy
and job satisfaction in employees. The practical implications of this research are for companies to
facilitate training and development programs for their employees, as well as for employees themselves
to increase self-efficacy by carrying out tasks more effectively, for theoretical implications, namely for
future researchers to explore additional variables that might influence the relationship between self-
efficacy and job satisfaction such as motivational factors, social support, or other working conditions
that can moderate or strengthen this relationship.
