Abstract

Durian is a horticultural commodity that has good long-term profit potential. This is due to the relatively expensive price of durian and increasingly wider market demand. This research aims to analyze the feasibility of cultivating durian in Tempuran Village, Pasrepan District, Pasuruan Regency and analyze the time for repayment of money that has been invested based on the Payback Period (PP) calculation. There were 41 respondents in this study, namely durian farmers in Tempuran Village. The research location was carried out in Tempuran Village, Pasrepan District, Pasuruan Regency. The novelty in this research lies in the techniques for propagating durian seeds, namely grafting, grafting and cuttings. This research uses quantitative descriptive analysis methods. The research results show that durian cultivation in Tempuran Village is considered feasible, with feasibility analysis of investment criteria obtained NPV 14,542,222 > 0, IRR 4.26% > 3%, Net B/C 1,197 > 1, and Gross B/C 1,137 > 1 and the results of the Payback Period calculation occur in the 16th year, this Payback Period value is faster than the life of the project being analyzed, namely 25 years. Based on the feasibility of investment criteria, it can be concluded that durian cultivation is financially feasible.
