Abstract

Early adulthood, which is at the intimacy and isolation stage, makes individuals try to fulfill their intimacy needs by looking for partners of the opposite sex so as not to risk experiencing self-isolation due to feelings of loneliness. Dating as an effort to find a partner is considered an alternative to recognizing your partner's character and the first step in forming a commitment which can be achieved by maintaining the quality of the relationship and understanding the love language needs of your partner. This research aims to determine the description of love language and the quality of early adult relationships. This research uses a descriptive quantitative study approach. A total of 394 respondents who participated in this research were taken using accidental sampling. The research results showed that respondents tended to have love language in the form of words of affirmation (M = 33.05 SD = 3.999). Then, it was found that the quality of the respondents' relationships tended to be in the medium category (83.5%) and there were no respondents with poor relationship quality. The findings of this research can be a contribution to literature and knowledge in maintaining the quality of romantic relationships with partners and implementing appropriate love language.
