Abstract
Individuals who work will have two roles and responsibilities between personal life and work life which are carried out simultaneously so that individuals must have a good work life balance in order to balance these two roles and responsibilities. The emergence of an imbalance between work life and personal life can disrupt individual activities. Each individual experiences work life balance differently depending on their adversity quotient. Individuals with a high adversity quotient will have the best motivation and will never be afraid to face challenges while in the process. This is different from individuals who have a low adversity quotient who are easily anxious, tend to think about their own shortcomings, and consider themselves unable to overcome the problems they encounter. This research aims to determine the effect of the adversity quotient on work life balance among lecturers in higher education. This research uses a quantitative approach with simple linear regression analysis with Jeffrey's Amazing Statistics Program (JASP) software. The research sampling technique used incidental sampling and involved 349 lecturers. The research instrument uses the Adversity Quotient scale and the Work life balance scale. The research results show that the adversity quotient has a positive and significant effect on work life balance (β = 0.166; p = 0.002 <0.05).
