Abstract
Each social media has its own characteristics and benefits. Social media itself can have two impacts on its users, good and bad. Where the resulting impact can affect subjective well-being. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the intensity of social media use on the subjective well-being of young adults. This research uses a non-experimental quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The subjects of this research were early adults, totaling 272 participants. There are three instruments used, namely the Intensity of Social Media Use scale to measure variable The results of this study show that the intensity of social media use has a positive and significant effect on the three dimensions of subjective well-being in early adulthood, namely life satisfaction, positive affect and negative affect with each significance value of <.001.
