Abstract
Water quality is an important factor that determines public health. Decreased water quality due to pollution from various human activities has a negative impact on aquatic biota. Bioindicators, such as plankton, macrophytes and fish, can be used to monitor water quality. This research aims to examine various types of bioindicators and their influence on water quality. It is hoped that the research results can become a biology learning resource for class X high school students. This research uses the Systematic Literature Review method with data collection techniques obtained through literature studies in international journals indexed by Scopus. The research approach was carried out qualitatively, while data analysis was carried out quantitatively in the form of percentages. The results of identifying the types of bioindicators that are widely used are phytoplankton, macrozoobenthoz, nekton, fish, microbes and microalgae. Publication trends in 2022 show a significant increase in this topic.
