Abstract

An auditorium building is a building facility with a larger room used as a place to hold meetings, performances, and many other events with a large number of participants. Brawijaya University auditorium planning focuses on structural aspects and criteria using steel materials guided by SNI 1729:2019 and SNI 1727:2020. This building is in risk category IV as an educational facility and in seismic design category D (KDS-D). Building planning begins with load calculations and earthquake response analysis. In its planning, the Brawijaya University auditorium building uses the spectrum response method. Next, the results obtained were the design results for a floor and roof slab thickness of 120 mm, longitudinal beams (IWF 300x150x6.5x9), transverse beams (IWF 450x200x9x11), main beams (IWF 500x200x10x16), and King Cross columns (700x300x20x22). With the help of CSI ETABS software, output was obtained in the form of moments and stability analysis results and deviations due to the structure's response to earthquakes in limit safe results.
