TINDAKAN RASIONAL PADA PERNIKAHAN USIA DEWASA DI TENGAH TRADISI PERNIKAHAN USIA ANAK (Studi Kasus di Desa Batubellah Barat, Kecamatan Dasuk, Kabupaten Sumenep)

One of the phenomena of adult marriages occurring in a society dominated by the tradition of early marriage. This social change is closely related to the shift in the mindset of a more advanced and modern society. Action orientation can be influenced by the rational actions of people who choose to marry at an adult age. This study aims to determine the orientation of rational actions in adult marriages within the context of the tradition of early marriage, as well as to understand the benefits of the shift from early marriage to adult marriage in Batubellah Barat Village, Dasuk District, Sumenep Regency. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study methodology. The technique for selecting research subjects uses purposive sampling. Additionally, data collection techniques include interview, observation, and documentation methods. The results of this study indicate that the orientation of rational actions in adult marriages amidst the tradition of early marriage in Batubellah Barat Village includes orientations toward health, economics, social factors, and education. Meanwhile, the benefits of the shift from early marriage to adult marriage encompass economic aspects, health aspects, social aspects, and psychological maturity.
