Abstract
Company X is a tourism destination that focuses on the concept of agricultural and business development. The employee performance assessments currently implemented are still not specific enough, so relevant performance assessments are needed according to employee job descriptions in the IT department. The goal of product design is to create a new, specific and relevant performance assessment for IT department employees. The method used is a mixed method, which combines qualitative case study methods, with a comparative quantitative approach to identify two different groups independently. The product object is a performance assessment sheet which was tested on 10 IT department employees, involving 2 programmer employees, 2 operator employees, 2 design employees, 2 workshop employees and 2 support employees. The implementation procedure includes the stages of needs assessment, planning, product development, first field trial (expert judgment), second field trial, and analysis. The results of data analysis through the Mann Whitney test show that the asymp sig value is more than 0.05. This means that there is no significant difference in the results of the trial conducted on 10 IT department employees, based on the assessment of the section head and HRD. These findings indicate that the assessments from the head of the department and HRD have aligned views. This can measure employee performance more consistently and can be used objectively.
