Abstract

Road shade trees function as shade and absorb air pollution, and other visual effects that can provide comfort for road users in the area. Literature studies regarding road protective trees are needed to find out the types of protective plants on roads as well as to find out research trends regarding protective plant types from 2007-2023. This research uses the Systematic Literature Review method with data collection techniques obtained through literature studies in national journals on Google Scholar. The research approach was carried out qualitatively, while data analysis was carried out quantitatively in the form of percentages. Types of protective plants along the road include Acacia manguium, Terminalia cattapa, Ceiba pentandra, Artocarpus heterophyllus, Muntinga calabura L., and various other types. This research also shows a trend of increasing the number of publications related to the identification of protective plants from 2007 to 2023, so that the data regarding road protective trees is large enough to be represented as a biological learning resource.
