KEBIJAKAN PROGRAM BEASISWA BANYUWANGI CERDAS DALAM PENINGKATAN PENDIDIKAN MASYARAKAT MISKIN DI KABUPATEN BANYUWANGI, PROVINSI JAWA TIMUR (Studi Pada Program Banyuwangi Cerdas Bidikmisi)

Education is an important part of the Indonesian people, therefore the values that exist in their people depend heavily on the quality of their educators. The Banyuwangi Regency Government established a scholarship program for children of poor underperforming families, namely the Banyuwangi Cerdas Program, which contains other programs, one of which is the Banyuwangi Smart Bidirectional Program Scholarship. With the creation of this program it is expected to be one of the opportunities for accomplished children from poor families who want to continue their education to the College level. This study aims to Know both Policy and Evaluation on the Banyuwangi Cerdas Scholarship Program (Banyuwangi Cerdas Bidikmisi Program Study) In Improving Education In Kabupaten Banyuwangi, East Java Province. This study uses qualitative approaches and descriptive research methods. The data collection techniques used are interview, documentation, and observation techniques. Data analysis techniques used data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and Data verification (conclusion withdrawal). Data validity techniques use Credibility (internal validity) source triangulation.

The result obtained in this study is that, Banyuwangi Cerdas Scholarship Program Policy in Improving Education of the Poor in Banyuwangi Regency, East Java Province (Study On Banyuwangi Cerdas Bidikmisi Program). Implementation has been going on so far in an organized and targeted manner. Although there are still some obstacles. The Banyuwangi Regency Office of Education is trying to overcome these obstacles until it is said to be successful.
