Abstract
In the current era of rapid digitalization, information technology plays a pivotal role in facilitating various aspects of human life. The development of information technology is inseparable from the drive to automate daily activities by harnessing available technological advancements. Information technology has become a key factor in enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in the execution of various tasks, particularly within the context of companies and government institutions. A concrete example of the application of information technology is the information management and meeting room reservation system. Presently, many institutions and companies face challenges in the manual process of booking meeting rooms. This often involves complex steps such as checking room availability, communicating with room administrators, and awaiting confirmation. The manual process can impede efficient access and make it challenging for users to plan meetings swiftly. This research aims to address these challenges by designing and implementing a Meeting Room Reservation Information System that enables users to book and check room availability online. To enhance system development efficiency, the Personal Extreme Programming (PXP) method is utilized, adapting Extreme Programming practices to software development by a single developer. Through this approach, it is anticipated that the developed system can be completed more rapidly, aligned with user needs, and reduce development costs.
