Abstract

The use of RUBUHA creates a balance of ecosystems in agricultural land. The presence of owls as
natural predators of rats helps control rat populations without damaging the environment. This study
aims to determine the benefits of the RUBUHA program as a rat pest control in rice farming, analyze
differences in total costs, revenue and income, and analyze the increase in production yields and income
of rice farming before and after the existence of RUBUHA in Bulutengger Village. The research method
used descriptive qualitative and quantitative with primary and secondary data. Sampling used
Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique, by determining the sample size using the Slovin
formula. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The number
of subjects in the study was 74 respondents. The analysis Stechnique used was the Paired Samples Test.
The results showed that rice farmers felt the benefits and gave a positive response to the RUBUHA
program. Paired sample t-test results. Shows the difference in total costs, receipts, and income of rice
farming before and after the existence of RUBUHA. RC/Ratio test results show both profitable and
feasible. The average production yield and income of rice farming increased with the existence of
RUBUHA.
