Abstract

Maritime transportation is an important and rapidly growing sector. Especially in Indonesia, as an archipelagic country, maritime transportation is the main choice to connect the islands within it. In the maritime transportation industry, websites can serve as a medium to introduce and inform customers about transportation services. However, good and efficient ship scheduling is not always easy to do manually, especially if the shipping company has many ships that need to be scheduled with different routes and different schedules. Therefore, this research will design a webbased ship scheduling information system using the First Come First Served method. The results of this research are the results of designing a ship scheduling information system website. This system can provide convenience for transportation service users in using marine transportation services, and reduce the problem of imbalance between demand and the capacity, so that ship scheduling can run smoothly and regularly
