PERAN KEPOLISIAN DALAM UPAYA PENANGGULANGAN TINDAK PIDANA KDRT (STUDI KASUS DI POLRESTA MALANG)

Based on Law no. 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence. Domestic Violence (KDRT) is any act against someone, especially women, which results in physical, sexual, psychological misery or suffering, and/or domestic neglect including threats to commit acts, coercion, or unlawful deprivation of liberty within the scope of household. In terms of dealing with domestic violence, the role of the police is very necessary to reduce/overcome criminal acts of domestic violence. Therefore, the author conducted research at the Malang City Police to find out the role of the Police in dealing with domestic violence crimes and what obstacles hinder the handling of domestic violence crimes. Data collection techniques were carried out using literature studies, interviews and observations carried out by the author in order to re-examine primary legal materials against facts in the field
