Abstract
Akrolek is a language variation that is widely used in society to increase dignity or to be more prestigious because it uses high language or mixed with foreign languages. The formulation of the problems in this study are (1) how the form of the use of acrolek in political speech on Deddy Corbuzier's podcast, (2) how the relationship between the role of speakers and speech partners in the use of acrolek in political speech on Deddy Corbuzier's podcast.
This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data was obtained from Deddy Corbuzier's podcast related to politics. The video was uploaded on 13 February 2024 with a duration of 1:08:10 (1 hour 8 minutes 10 seconds). The data used are words (akrolek) in political speech in Deddy Corbuzier's podcast. There are three stages of research, namely (1) preparation, (implementation), and (completion).
The results showed that there is a form of acrolex use in political speech in the realm of Deddy Corbuzier's podcast in the form of acrolex with high or prestigious connotations and language mixed with foreign languages. The relationship between speakers and speech partners shows a relationship based on social status and social distance rank.
