Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out whether self-control mediates the influence of peer attachment on hedonism. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach with non- experimental methods and the type of research is mediation. The subjects were 150 students with criteria aged 18-25 years. The research results show that self-control partially mediates the relationship between peer attachment and hedonism lifestyle. Students with low peer attachment tend to have high self-control, so their hedonistic lifestyle scores are low. The implications of this research show the importance of students being careful in choosing their friendship environment so as not to be influenced by a hedonic lifestyle, as well as the need for further research with other mediating variables.
