Abstract

This research aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of Android-based basic
service media applications in improving career decision making for class XI
Vocational High School (SMK) students. The development method used is the
ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development,
Implementation and Evaluation. Validation by material experts and media experts
shows that this application has a very high level of feasibility. The implementation
of a limited trial was carried out at SMK Negeri 1 Mejayan involving 36 grade XI
students as respondents. Evaluation results show that this application received a
positive response from students with an acceptance rate reaching 91%. The career
decision making measurement instrument shows a significant increase with an
average increase of 88%. These findings indicate that Android-based basic service
media applications are effective in helping vocational school students in the career
decision making process. Recommendations from this research include further
development of the application, large-scale implementation, development of
additional materials, and ongoing evaluation to ensure the long-term effectiveness
of the application.
