Abstract
Students' self-confidence and learning motivation towards social studies lessons is still lacking and student learning outcomes are still low. This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of self-confidence and learning motivation on social studies learning outcomes at MAN Sidoarjo, totaling 451 students. This research uses a quantitative approach with a saturated sampling technique and applies a self-confidence scale and a learning motivation scale. The results of this research show that there is an influence of self-confidence and learning motivation on social studies learning outcomes (Sig = 0.000 < 0.005) in a percentage of 2.2%. Therefore, it can be stated that the hypothesis in the research is accepted, which means that the higher the students' self-confidence and learning motivation, the higher the social studies learning outcomes obtained. It is hoped that this research can be used as a reference for all tenth graders to be more aware of the importance of self-confidence and motivation to learn in their daily lives.
