ANALISIS PUTUSAN HAKIM DALAM PERKARA IZIN POLIGAMI DI PENGADILAN AGAMA KOTA MALANG

This research aims to find out the judge's decision in polygamy permit cases in the Malang Religious Court during 2021-2024 and to find out what reasons are often used by judges in polygamy permit cases in the Malang Religious Court during 2021-2024. This research uses a normative juridical method or normative legal approach, which is often referred to as library research. Based on the research results, there were 21 polygamy permit cases submitted to the Malang City Religious Court. Of the 21 cases, there were 17 cases accepted by the judge. There were three main reasons that prompted the judge to grant permission for polygamy, namely the husband's ability to act fairly, obtaining permission from the first wife, and the presence of health problems. Then there were 4 cases that were rejected by the judge. There were three main reasons that caused the judge to reject the application for a permit for polygamy, namely economic problems, not getting permission from the first wife, and the wife's disagreement with being married.
