Abstract

Abstract. As a student they are required to be independent, especially with the needs of life that are increasing with the times, therefore not a few students work part-time to meet their needs while studying. On the other hand, students who work part-time do not pay attention to their work readiness and the responsibilities and obligations that must be borne when they work part-time, therefore this research was conducted. The purpose of this research is to find out how many part-time students feel job stress due to lack of job readiness owned by students and measure how close the relationship between job readiness and job stress. This research was conducted using a correlational quantitative method. The subjects in this study are students or female students who work part time and are still active in lectures. Based on the results of the assumption test which was not fulfilled due to the non-linearity of the relationship between variables, the researchers tested the hypothesis using spearman rank. Based on the results of the spearman rank correlation test, it was found that there was a significant positive relationship between work readiness and work stress in the aspect of time pressure, with the results of r = 0.312, p> 0.05. This means that an increase in work readiness score is followed by an increase in work stress score in the aspect of time pressure. On the other hand, based on the results of the Spearman rank test, it was found

that there was a significant positive relationship between work readiness and work stress in the aspect of anxiety with the result of r = 0.245, p < 0.05. This means that an increase in work readiness score will be followed by an increase in work stress score in the aspect of anxiety.
