Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Melalui Program Kampung Keluarga Berkualitas Kelurahan Tegalsari Kecamatan Tegalsari Surabaya (Studi Program BKB HI Pertiwi RW 05)

This study aims to investigate the empowerment of rural communities through the Kampung Keluarga Berkualitas program in Tegalsari Village, Tegalsari Subdistrict, Surabaya, using Jim Ife’s theory of community empowerment. The BKB program aims to improve family quality through an educational approach and family coaching.The research method used is qualitative. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with BKB program participants, family planning cadres, and direct observation of activities and changes that occurred in the families of program participants.The results showed that the BKB program has succeeded in causing a positive impact in the form of behavioral changes on children and parents of BKB participants. These behavioral changes include improved quality of family interactions, increased attention to child development, and improved skills in educating and raising children. In addition, family planning cadres also experienced increased knowledge and new skills related to parenting through the BKB materials presented. This study makes an important contribution to the understanding of the effectiveness of the BKB program as a community empowerment effort at the village level. The implication of the results of this study is the need for an active role from the government and the community in supporting and developing similar programs to improve the welfare and quality of life of rural communities in a sustainable manner.
