ANALISIS UPAYA KOTA SURAKARTA MENJADI UNESCO CREATIVE CITIES NETWORK 2023

This research aims to explain how Surakarta City's efforts to become a UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) in 2023. Solo City wants to be known as the center of Javanese cultural development nationally and internationally and become a resilient, inclusive and sustainable city. The Surakarta City Government seeks to realize this through becoming a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2023. This research uses the concept of paradiplomacy and harmonization policy in processing data. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods and data collection techniques in the form of library research or literature study, this research produces findings that the Surakarta City Government made various efforts with a long process so that Surakarta City succeeded in becoming a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2023. These efforts are shown by the efforts of the Surakarta City government to fulfill the dossier that has been published by the UCCN such as conducting development and revitalization, making policies that support the success of the city to enter the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, and several other efforts.
