Abstract

Issue: The prevalence of depression in Indonesia, in young adults,
reported a national prevalence of 29.3% for moderate depression
and 8% for major depression. Meanwhile, in another study, older
adults reported a prevalence of depression of 16.3%. In another
survey, when Indonesia experienced covid, the depression rate
increased, 12 million people over the age of 15 experienced
depression. However, the treatment rate of depression only
reaches 9% and the availability of self-therapy applications that
suit the needs of depressed individuals may still be limited.
Methods: The research method used is the UX Journey, to find
user needs and expectations with a focus on developing features
that suit user needs. Results: The results showed a significant
increase in three behavioral variables with the first variable
increasing from 55% to 70%, the second variable increasing from
56% to 77% and the third variable increasing from 73% to 76%.
This study made a positive contribution in improving the user
experience. In addition, validity was carried out using acceptance
criteria which resulted in validated and met user needs and
verification using checklists and requirements metrics which
resulted in verified from two perspectives namely the researcher
and four peers. Conclusion and development: From the needs
analysis and design solutions produced in this research, both of
them can provide what variables can improve user experience.
