Abstract

The research aimed to: (a) finding out student’s activity in mathematic learning by using concept mapping learning strategy; (b) finding out about the using of concept maping learning strategy to study motivation in mathematic; (c) finding out the student’s learning achievement by using concept mapping learning strategy in mathematic learning. The research used qualitative approach with descriptive research. The location and object was first grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah II Malang, from Secretary Department. While subject in this research was concept mapping learning strategy. The data collection technique was done by observation, poll, and test. The research showed that: (a) student’s learning activity by using concept mapping in math learnign was done well; (b) student’s motivation in math learning by using concept mapping learning strategy described a good result and (c) the student’s achievement also showed good result where from 40 students, 36 of them finished. So that the learning strategy of concept mapping in math learning gave good result in student’s motivation and achievement.
