Adolescence can do told as a period of important in motivating achievement, where adolescent claimed to play the part of role and responsibility far bigger than before all. One of factor influencing motivation of achievement at adolescent is self­confidence. This thing is becauseadolescent requires self­confidence to be able to become man who is successful in life his is later. Intention of this research is to know relation between self­confidence with motivation of achievement at reformatory adolescent. This research quantitative research of correlation, population in this research is reformatory adolescent in town Malang, while the sample is reformatory adolescent Muhammadiyah, Aisyiyah, “Babussalam” Tlogomas. Method of sampling with purposive sampling, with marking men, woman, age 15­19 years, status (fatherless child, motherless child, orphan, poor, unemployed) and lives in reformatory. Equipment of data collecting applies two scales that self­ confidence scale that amounts to 40 items while scale is motivating achievement to amount to 38 items. Retrieval of data does on 9­11 Aprils 2010. Data analytical method applied that is correlation Product Moment assisted with program SPSS 130 for windows From result of research indicates that there is positive relationship and of vital importance between self­confidence with motivation of achievement at reformatory adolescent with correlation coefficient value (r) = 0,537 and mistake probability (p) < 0.000. This thing means excelsior level of self­confidence hence excelsior also motivation of achievement of adolescent. On the contrary, increasingly low self­confidence trust hence increasingly low also motivation of achievement of adolescent. Means can do told that this research hypothesis received. Self­ confidence variable in this research gives effective contribution 28,8 % to motivation of achievement meaning there are still 71,2 % other factor also influences motivation of achievement of adolescent.
