Recently, there are a lot of acceleration programs conducts in superior schools. This programs is acceleration programs, especially for talented students by some tests as selection and fulfilling given procedural requirements. In this program, education tenure is shorter than other students in regular class. It absolutely force the students to study bhardrer to fulfill the requirements. Students not only should have academic skill but also have good self regulated learning. The purpose of this study is to know how is the influence of self regulated learning toward academic achievement of acceleration students in junior high school. This study is conducted in two junior high schools in Malang; SMPN3 Malang and MTSN 1 Gondang Legi. The data obtained from 45 students studied, they are in the second semester in 2007/2008. Technique to analyze the data is using regression. Instrument that is used in this study is self regulated learning. The result of the study shows that there is any influence, significantly, between self regulated learning toward acaemic achievement of acceleration students in junior high school, (F=12,174;Sig=0,001<0.010). Self regulated learning has effective contribution toward academic achievement of junior high school, 22,1%. Based on the data analysis, it is suggested that whether teacher or acceleration students should increase their academic achievement by emphasizing, directing, giving explanation about self regulated learning to acceleration students.
