Abstract

As the first step to get the goal is give the motivation to study mathematic for the students. Te successful of teaching learning process mathematic. It can not chance from preparation of the students and the teachers related to their skills and for the students who have interest. Study mathematic will be happy and falloff care to follow that subject. Therefore, the teachers have to try to keep and develop the interest for preparation for the students. One of the leaning strategies that have orientation to preparation of studying the students is pre test- PB strategy. Te cause of thinking is base teaching learning pre test – PB strategy is the students does not know the material will be presented at the time and the students will be forced to study mathematic the material will be discussed for the next meeting. Therefore the students that never study the material at home, will be more motivated to study the material that will be get. The purpose of this result is to know about study of students motivation and the student’s practice in answer the question. Moreover, this study is to know the successful students in teaching learning mathematic to the material comparation by using PB strategy. The study used qualitative design. The data taken from the test, the activity students and questionnaire. The result of the study showed that learning mathematic before used pre test-PB strategy to the material comparation, students motivation rate get 64% and its category is sufficient. And after used PB strategy to material comparation, students motivation rate get 78% and its category is good. Than the activities students get 68% and its category is sufficient. The successful of students to learning mathematic. With used PB strategy to the material comparation is getting students successful with individual where the students success are 27 students. And the students unsuccessful are 9 students. From the total students are 36 students. And the classical successes rate get 75%. So, the VIIC class of SMP Negeri I Wagir Malang can be said the success in learning mathematic to the material comparation. Therefore, it can be conclude that the students response is positive in learning mathematic with PB strategy to the material comparation.
